How to increase the speed of your Windows 7 Computer???

Friday is a dry day for me, where my system will cry for more energy due to the Antivirus check
happening after 12.30PM. Until I was on Windows XP, I had my own ways of removing unnecessary windows applications to fine tune the system performance.  But after my colleagues kicked me to move to Windows 7, I was like hand tied… My laptop was asking me every day like when are you going to speed me up. My tight schedules never allowed me to do R&D for the same..

Last Friday, I was in bit urgency to do multiple activities in a single shot.. But nothing was moving.. Thought of doing my R&D on windows to speedup. Suddenly got an idea to change the option from System’s best Appearance to best performance, which I used to do while configuring heavy loaded servers in my old days.. That’s it.. System started performing like a Jet Fire.. But all settings and beauty of Windows 7 went off.. I was like using an old Windows 95 machine, which never wanted… So again did some light customization.. Wow.. Got same superb speed by keeping the beauty of Windows 7.

So I just thought to share the same to all of you, as I have seen many people struggling with speed issues… This tip is purely for a very basic computer user, whom doesn’t know the tough configurations.. So I don’t talk about registry modifications or very difficult step by step procedures… Its only one option will make you to get almost 40% higher speed. Many of the blogs talking about disabling most of the features, which will kill your windows 7, feels like it would have been better to use Windows 95. So don’t do tiresome configurations to disable most of the features. Here we go.

1.    Click on “Start” -> Right Click on “Computer” -> “Properties”

2.    Click on “Advanced System Settings” in the left side as shown in below snap.

3.    Click on “Advanced” tab -> Performance – “Settings” button.

4.    Click on “Custom” button and choose the options (5,6,7,8) shown in the below snap. Open the snap to view the options correctly.

Now don’t tell me that your hand speed is not able to reach behind your system performance.. So enjoy!!!.
